Listen to learn more about the Covid-19 impact in Metcalfe Park and our community-led solutions.

The Covid-19 pandemic was a devastating blow to the residents of Metcalfe Park. The systems in America, the State of Wisconsin and Milwaukee fail Black people daily and we know that Metcalfe Park is over 87% Black. As a result, the systems in place were not supporting the things Metcalfe Park needed before and during the pandemic. We the community are the experts of are needs and what we envision for our neighborhood. We believe that our form of Mutual Aid is an act of transformative *justice that is a liberatory approach to combatting structural violence.

*Transformative Justice seeks to provide people who experience violence with immediate safety,  long-term healing, and reparations while holding people who commit violence accountable their community.
